Book Review: Slated by Teri Terry

Okay, so, good news: This book is based in the UK! Hurrah! Smiles all around as we slowly begin to claw back the YA airwaves. Bad news: it's based just outside London. I know. Every. Single. Time.
 Aside from the location of this book... it's dystopian. I'm sure you know how I feel about dystopian. My first thought was: bklgnklgbbh, she's going to fight against the government. Just like they always do.
 I'm not sure there's much more that can be said. It's a dystopian with a main character who's trying to work out who the good guys are, who she can trust, etc, etc, same old, same old.
 Not that it's bad -- I read it, after all -- but it was just a bit bleh. It's Unique Selling Point was... I don't actually know. There was nothing that made you think it was different to all the other books that you've ever read in the genre except that it was based in the UK and was set only a few decades after now. Nothing.

It gets a lazy, readable-and-not-terrible-if-you-ignore-the-weird-grammar-and-punctuation-but-not-particularly-interesting four stars.
